Scholarship Awarding Process

  1. Scholarship awardee is seleced by selection committee
  2. Check request is sent by selection committee to CSUF Philanthropic Foundation or ASC
  3. CSUF Philanthropic Foundation or ASC sends funds to Student Business Services who processes the payment
  4. Student writes thank you note to the donor of the scholarship
  5. Scholarship list is sent to the Scholarships Office to be coordinated with the student's financial aid and posted to their account
  6. If the student has a balance due on their account, the scholarship funds will be applied to the ballance and any remaining funds will be dispersed to the student. Please note that all scholarships must fit within the COA (cost of attendance). If you are expecting to recieve a refund for any financial aid or scholarships, we reccomend that you set up direct deposit in your student portal
